Hi, I am Katelyn Guo.

About Me
Hello! I’m Katelyn Guo. A builder interested in how things work, feel, and exist in the real world.
I'm a mechanical engineering student at Brown, where I design and fabricate things ranging from carbon fiber aerodynamic components for a Formula SAE race car to medical devices developed alongside surgeons. I like the full process — early concepts, iterations, the moment something finally works the way it's supposed to.
I'm also drawn to projects that ask different questions. Through wearable design and fashion, I think about how structure and material interact with the body, and what it feels like to experience something from within. Those questions don't feel separate from engineering to me. They feel like the interesting part.
Outside of projects, I'm usually thrifting, listening to music, playing tennis, or making silly TikToks.
I'm looking for roles in product design and development where I can build across disciplines and make things that feel as good as they function.
